Brady Kurtz was unavailable after suffering tendon injuries riding abroad and at short notice the Aces resorted to rider replacement.
An early morning downpour made conditions challenging from the off with both sides battling with the circuit and rain in the early heats.
Jack and Kyle trapped to break the equilibrium with a 5-1 in heat 5. Tai won from Jaimon Lidsey and Jason beat Norick Blodorn in heat 6 and
then Chris and guest Tom Brennan left Dan Bewley trailing to open a 10 point lead following heat 7.
Connor Bailey became the solitary faller in heat 8 with Norick taking his second win. Rain brought further track work and then Jaimon and Ben Cook
took a 5-1 ahead of Tai. Tom and Chris responded with their own 5-1 ahead of Ben to restore the Tigers 10 point lead just as the heavens opened
with another deluge.
The track staff at the National stadium went to work on the track but after more than an hours effort Dave Watters in conjunction with the team managers
and the chief medical officer's opinion, reluctantly abandoned the meeting on safety grounds.
(ps. It would appear that Mark was under pressure to continue because otherwise the supporters would be able to reclaim £5 each for the heats they've missed.
Shame the National Speedway Stadium management, and the Aces manager, couldn't give a toss about rider safety.)
