Ricky Ashworth picks his way through the field to lead down the back straight, and Ben Wilson makes it a winning start by passing David Meldrum on the inside exiting turn two on the second lap. Benji Compton traps and leads heat 2 all the way to the line, but Danny Warwick makes Paul Cooper work hard for second place. Kyle's lightning start sees him leading heat 3 with Emiliano tucked in behind but unsure whether to ride tight or wide. Michal Makovsky climbs all over his rear wheel before slicing under him on the third bend on lap three. André takes heat 4 with ease while Benji extends our lead by outpacing the pedestrian Craig Branney. Emiliano looked to have heat 5 in the bag until his experimental wide blast on the third and fourth turns sees him fall, but Kyle made amends for a poor start in the rerun passing Adrian Rymel on the inside exiting the pits turn at the end of the third lap to win.

Ricky won heat 6 at a stroll, and André followed suit in heat 7 while all Paul's hard work in passing Lee Smethills on the last bend of the third lap was undone when he subsequently ground to a halt. Benji passed David Meldrum on the fourth bend to follow Ben home for a big 5-1 in heat 8. It was all change in heat 9 as Danny Warwick initially led until Kyle passed him at the end of the first lap. Andreas Bergström was on a tactical so was soon gifted second place, but that allowed Emiliano the opportunity to pass Danny on the pits bend on the third lap. Lee Smethills led heat 10 with Ricky trailing the field. By the start of lap 2 Ricky was leading with Ben Wilson on his heels, although Michal Makovsky did manage to out drag Ben out of the last bend to claim second place.

André led heat 11 but Paul worked wonders to pass both Bandits exiting turn two. Paul was then left to single handedly fight off their simutaneous challenges, which he managed until Adrian got around him on the very last turn. Emiliano took his first home win rounding Lee Smethills on the second turn, second lap, heat 12, but Benji just couldn't find his way past Danny leaving the heat shared. Ricky and André were untroubled in heat 13 after a restart when Adrian tumbled on the first turn. Michal, on a tactical, passed Paul on the pits bend and then had a ding-dong scrap with Kyle before taking the full six points in heat 14. Heat 15 proved to be a major disappointment for Ricky for although in the early stages he looked set to complete his maximum alas it was not to be as his clutch disintegrated!

Were the Tigers that good, or the Bandits that bad? Watch this space and we'll find out...
