Difficult to pass comment on this meeting as I was otherwise occupied, but the lack of even a parade lap must have contributed to the total annhililation in the opening stages. Cooperman dropped his bike on the first turn of heat 2, and André nudged the tapes to earn a 15m handicap in heat 4, but the greasy track condtions did not lend themselves to good racing. Kyle was unable to avoid Joachim when he fell right in front of him, and failed to finish ahead of a Berwick rider, but bear in mind this was his first time astride a speedway bike since October last year!
André came up with the goods when on a double, Sean struggled to pass on the wet track and Ricky seemed to be out of sorts. Ben made one good gate but Richard just wasn't at the races. Kyle came up against probably the best reserve pairing in the PL who put the spotlight on his lack of practice. Cooperman on the other hand, after falling in his first race, put on a brilliant (verging on foolhardy at times?) display and should perhaps have been given extra rides like Chis Schramm was for the Bandits.
Not a good result for the Tigers, but I've a feeling that there is better to come...
