Oh dear! Either we've accepted that we'll win nowt this year and are engaged in fixing our averages ready for 2005, or we've just lost the thread. Ricky top scored although a tactical heat win makes his score very flattering. In reality he only won one heat. Paul Pickering guested for Sean and can hardly be criticised for an average display given his team mates on the night. Andy redeemed himself to some extent in winning heat 14, but André hardly set a good example by only managing to finish ahead on one Berwick rider (and a reserve at that) in his four rides. Paid four is reasonable for your No.2 away from home, and Mark Thompson tried his best replacing Shane Colvin, but Ben Wilson again paid the penalty for a slow bike on a big track.
Two heat wins on a track where we have a very good record. I hope there was a hidden agenda as on this form we'll be lucky to accumulate 30 at Hull on Wednesday!
