|Berwick Kirkland Carpet 'Bandits' v Sheffield PIRTEK 'Tigers'||Premier League||9th July|
|Tom P Madsen||3||1'||1'||2'||7+3|
|Richard Hall r/r||6.75||-||-||-||-||(5+1)|
A big home win for the Bandits despite an excellent return from guest Josef Franc who revelled on his return to Shielfield. Ben won heat 8 (again) and picked up a useful second place when nominated for heat 15. Ricky had another mare of a meeting. Penalised for tapes infringements in both his opening rides he was then forced out of his third ride with mechanical gremlins. André started well, upset a few people with a determined move on Tom Madsen in heat 9, and then suffered engine problems just before the start of heat 13. He desperately jumped on Ben Wilson's machine with the seconds ticking down and trailed in a disappointing last, doubly disappointing as he was on a tactical ride! Paul demolished the safety fence when his throttle stuck open in heat 2 and can consider himself lucky that he was able to continue while Kyle never really got to grips with the track. I imagine it will be quite a struggle for the bonus point when the two sides meet at Owlerton later this month.
