Hugh Sidmore nudges the tapes and earns himself a 15m handicap. Ricky Ashworth makes the mosst of the change to gate 2 to win the rerun. Ex-Bandit Joel Parsons traps to win heat 2 but Paul Cooper has to work for second place rounding Sean Stoddart on the pits bend. Josef Franc leads heat 3, Richard Hall passes Chris Mills on the back straight and Paul Clews powers around him out of the pits turn. Joel traps ahead in heat 4 but Josh Auty tries to pass Sean wide on the third bend and takes a tumble. He gets a reprieve as the race had already been stopped for movement at the tapes. Joel makes another electic start in the rerun but then hits a bump and falls on the pits turn. Gino Franchetti holds off slow starting Josh Auty to level the scores. Pepe Franc traps ahead of Ricky to win heat 5 and the Bandits take a 2 point lead.

Michal Makovsky traps ahead of William Lawson but Paul takes second entering the third bend. Josh got alongside Will on the home straight and takes third place exiting down the back straight. Richard Hall traps to win heat 7. Will comes to the tapes for heat 8 in the wrong helmet colour and gets a 15m handicap for his troubles. Greg Blair traps but Hugh Skidmore passes him entering turn 3 and Joel dives under him exiting turn 4. Paul dominates heat 9 from the gate. Shame Josh couldn't help out. The Bandits trap to lead heat 10 but Richard passes Will on the inside at the end of the first lap and the Tigers lead is trimmed back to just 2 points.

Ricky gates from gate 2 to win heat 11 but Gino passes Hugh down the back straight to share the heat. Pail Clews on the inside takes Paul Cooper wide on turn 1 and Greg Blair is sent skittling into the fence in heat 12. Sean Stoddart takes his place in the rerun and Paul makes another electric start. Joel (replacing Chris Mills) and Paul follow him home to share the heat. Pepe Franc goes around Richard out of turn two to lead heat 14 but Joel looks comfortable in third until his bike expires within sight of the finish gifting the point to Sean. Michal traps and rides the outside line to deny hard chasing Richard in heat 15 but at the back Pepe is unable to catch Ricky and both the heat and the match are drawn.

The Bandits required the match points And the bonus to qualify for the Premier Trophy final above Workington so the home draw was a big disappointment.
