Top scorer For week after week the Tigers have lost the toss and consigned all our heat leaders to gate 4 in their opening rides. What happens the first time we win the toss? Steady chooses the outside gates!!! Try as he might he finished stone dead last in heat 1. Things did improve and he won his second outing passing Doolan on the third lap. He led heat 10 briefly but Bellego got alongside into turn three and took Steady right to the fence. There was a heated exchange at the pit gate which the Berwick team manager got involved in which distracted attention from Taylor Poole pushing for a full half lap for the odd point. Steady won heat 13 but Claus and Ty had a real ding-dong scrap for 2nd until Ty got filled in at the end of the third lap allowing Kevin through into third place.

After two excellent heat wins the day before at Peterborough it was disappointing to see Taylor struggling to muster the odd point in each of his rides. Leigh was starting better but wasn't able to defend his lead. Thomas Jorgensen went around him with an incredibly wide pass in heat 12 picking the bike up from an impossible position but suffering almost immediately with a puncture. Andre trapped to win heat 9 but looked down on power in his other outings. Simon Nielsen went quietly about his business and passed Thomas Jorgensen in heat 14 on his way to an above average score. Josh Bates didn't set the track alight either.

Eight points was not a fair return for the effort Ty Proctor put into all of his rides. He roared around the outside of Kevin Doolan at the end of the second lap in heat 15 as the rain fell and thoroughly deserved his nomination for 'Man of the match'.
